DNT climbing is a social event for climbing. Its open to everyone, but its best if you have some experience as there is no instructor and its your own responsibilty. The goal is to have a good session, but also to find like-minded climbers and mountain sports enthusiasts. We usually climb inside Ørstahallen/Voldahallen, but if the weather is nice we climb outside on the various local climbing fields, such as Gamle Øvstefeltet, Kyrkjesteinen, Nye Øvstefeltet, etc. Both beginners and advanced climbers are welcome to join. There will be 1-2 volunteers from DNT Sunnmøre who will be present during the climb to facilitate the social aspect and connect you with other climbers in the DNT community. We are available for guidance, but do not run courses and everyone is responsible for their own competence, safety and equipment.

You must be able to climb independently and either have a top rope pass or climbingcouse to climb on ropes.

Time and place: Every Thursday in the climbing hall in Ørsta from 1800 to 2000. Sometimes we are also in the climbing hall in Volda. In good weather, there will also be offers for outdoor climbing. We will contact those who have registered. If you are unsure, you can send a message to the activity leader, and you will get an answer.

Price: Outdoor climbing is free. You pay normal entry to the climbing walls.

Bring: If you have your own equipment, it is fine if you bring it, but it is also possible to borrow or rent it in the climbing hall when we climb indoors. When we go out to climb on local climbing areas, you must bring all the equipment yourself, and possibly coordinate with the others who are participating in the climb.
